Custodial dad accused of incest with teen daughter (Fort Wayne, Indiana)

UNNAMED DAD has been charged with incest for having sex (i.e. raping) his teenage daughter. Note that the circumstances behind how or why this girl "moved in with her father" are left very vague. Where is the mother is all this? As usual, she's rendered entirely invisible.

A Fort Wayne father faces formal charges on accusations he repeatedly had sex with his teenage daughter, according to Allen Superior Court records filed Monday.

The 46-year-old man, whose name is not being published to protect the victim’s identity, is accused of having sex with and inappropriately touching his daughter from June 2007 to January 2010. He faces two counts of incest and one count each of attempted incest and sexual misconduct with a minor.

He was being held in lieu of $40,000 bail.

Fort Wayne police learned of the case in January when the girl told a North Side High School conflict mediator that her father had intercourse with her, court records state. The mediator called the Indiana Department of Child Protective Services to report the abuse.

A Child Protective Services worker interviewed the girl, who said the abuse had been ongoing for the past two years.

The girl was between 14 and 16 years old during that period, court records state.

The first time the abuse happened the girl had gone to visit her father at his home. The girl was watching TV when he approached her and said, “You should let me have sex with you,” court records state.

The girl said “no” and cried after sexual contact occurred, court records state. Sometime after that encounter, the girl moved in with her father – with whom she lived for two years, records state.

The abuse would occur after the man drank alcohol, the girl told the worker. For a while, the abuse stopped – and then started again in January, when her father started drinking again, records state.

After a January attack, the man told his daughter not to tell anyone because she would get in trouble, according to court records.

When police tried to question the father, he said the allegations were false and that he could not remember details of what happened on the days of the alleged abuse, records state.
