An Edgewood man accused of beating his 1-year-old daughter faces attempted murder, assault and child abuse charges, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Department.
Keaton Irons, 24, was alone with the unconscious child when paramedics responding to a 911 call arrived at the home on Fountain Rock Way, the sheriff's office said. A Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Co. unit took the child to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Due to the severity of the injuries, the child was flown to the Johns Hopkins pediatric unit in Baltimore, where she was in critical condition and being treated for head trauma, according to the sheriff's department.
Irons was being held at the Harford County Detention Center.
