How nice. Dad JASON CALKINS was technically sentenced to 9 years in prison, but all of that was suspended in lieu of probation. His 3-year-old daughter is apparently still on anti-seizure medications to deal with her brain injuries, but Daddy says he's sorry, so that's that. Where was Mom when Daddy was flipping out this child? Who knows, as once again, Mom has been effectively erased from the story.
INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

FARMINGTON, N.M. — A Farmington father gets probation after pleading guilty in December to second-degree felony child abuse for violently shaking his 3-year-old daughter.
The Farmington Daily Times reports District Judge Sandra Price sentenced 24-year-old Jason Calkins to nine years in prison but suspended all of it in lieu of probation.
The judge ordered Calkins to submit to drug testing and Calkins must also undergo an evaluation by drug court, which could provide a more intense supervised probationary period.
During sentencing, Calkins apologized for hurting his daughter last April.
The child survived and police say she was put on anti-seizure medication.
