Sex sting leads to arrest of 32 men, including Georgia dad who brought 6- and 8-year-old kids (Lake County, Florida)

Notice that one of the 32 men was Georgia dad GREGORY LAWRENCE, who travelled down to Lake County, Florida with his 6- and 8-year-old children--apparently so he could pimp out the kids to various pedophiles. The kids are now in state custody. But where is their mother? Did he cook up some cover story as to why he was taking the kids "on vacation" without her? Or is this a single dad? If so, did he have custody? Visitation? What? Will mom get custody back from the state of Florida? Lots of unanswered questions.

INVISIBLE MOTHER ALERT.

Sex Sting Leads To Arrest Of 32 Men
Undercover Police Pose As Kids On Internet

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. -- The Lake County Sheriff’s Office conducted a five-day sting that led to the arrests of 32 men who traveled to a home with the intentions of having sex with a child, deputies said.

Undercover officers posed on the Internet as children ages 9 to 14 or as the child’s parent. When a man would show up to the house deputies rented in the four corners area of Lake County, they would be arrested on the spot, deputies said.

Sheriff Gary Borders said it didn’t matter what time of the day or the conditions -- the men just kept knocking and getting arrested.

“I think it’s pretty scary considering we were there for five days,” Borders said.

During the five days, 32 men were arrested, all of whom had made contact with the undercover officers, deputies said.

Gregory Lawrence, 32, traveled from Georgia with his 6-year-old and 8-year-old kids, deputies said. Both children were put in state custody after the father’s arrest.

One man, Robert Nelson, showed up at the house with a handgun in his pants, while others came bearing gifts.

“(They had) M&Ms (and) Skittles for the child they thought they were going to meet,” Borders said.

The men are facing felony charges of traveling to meet a minor for sexual activity and using a computer for illegal activity and could face decades in prison, deputies said.

Lake County deputies hope this sting will serve as a warning to parents about their kids using the Internet.

“The same technological advances that make our everyday life easier are the exact same advances that facilitate these types of sick crimes,” Borders said.

Some of the suspects admitted to having child pornography, which prompted the deputies to search their homes, deputies said.

At one point, so many suspects were showing up at the house that there was a row of handcuffed men on the floor as another was pulled inside, deputies said.
