VINELAND — A 2-month-old boy is in critical condition after his father allegedly shook the infant multiple times in an aggressive manner, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday.

Ronald Cuff Jr., 19, of the Park Towne Apartments, on West Chestnut Avenue, in Vineland, is charged with second-degree aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

He is lodged in Cumberland County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Cuff is accused of shaking his child multiple times on July 25.

The infant’s maternal grandparent at some point claimed the child and rushed him to South Jersey Healthcare-Regional Medical Center, in Vineland.

The child was later transferred to Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, in Wilmington, Del.

He remained in critical condition as of Wednesday, according to the prosecutor.
