Springfield Father Arrested for Child's Alleged Injuries

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. -- Springfield police arrested a man for allegedly injuring his child.
Department of Human Services called police to McKenzie-Willamette Hospital Monday night, after finding several suspicious injuries on a three-year-old child during an examination.
DHS says the child's injuries were not life threatening, but they appeared to have happened at different times.
Police arrested the father, 29-year-old Dustin James Franklin.
He was lodged at the Lane County Jail for first-degree assault and first-degree criminal mistreatment.
Police are continuing the investigation.
