Dad arrested in death of 1-year-old daughter; was "watching her" while Mom worked (Wichita, Kansas)

Sounds like yet another case where a deadbeat daddy was assigned to be the caretaker while Mom worked to support his lazy @$$ and keep food on the table. But the @$$ couldn't even manage to keep the baby alive.

Father arrested in the death of a 1-year-old Wichita girl

WICHITA - Wichita police have arrested a father in the death of his 1-year-old daughter.

Wichita police Lt. Todd Ojile says the man called police at about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday night to say the girl was unresponsive. KWCH-TV reported that emergency crews were unable to revive the girl, who had numerous bruises and scratches to her face. She was pronounced dead at 8 p.m. Ojile says the man had been watching his daughter while the girl's mother was at work.

Ojile said the child's mother said her daughter did not have any bruising when she left for work that morning.

The father is jailed on suspicion of felony murder and child abuse.
